Attention Christians: Barack Obama is NOT the Antichrist. And even if he was, there is nothing you could or should do about it. Thus starts today’s rant.

I am getting really tired of the bigoted and racist emails being forwarded to me in the name of “saving” America from the Muslim AntiChrist. Let’s take a look at why this is so illogical.

Okay, so the emails basically all follow the same line of “the Bible says” and then quotes various Bible passages which are interpreted to mean that a Muslim man is going to be the downfall of America. I won’t bore you with the passages, since I am sure everyone is probably getting multiple copies of the same email. Most likely only going to get worse since Barack Obama should only have to play the waiting game in order to be the official Democratic Presidential nominee.

Let’s dissect the email and see just why the emails are a waste of time. First of all, with all the hoopla and brouhaha over Barack’s Christian preacher I find it amazing that people are still under the impression he is a Muslim.

Even if Barack Obama was a Muslim and the actual Anti-Christ, Christians would face a major catch 22. If they really and honestly believe the Bible is the 100 percent absolute true word of God, then what He said was going to happen MUST happen or the Bible would not be 100 percent true and accurate. To even attempt to change the will of God would be blasphemous as well as incredibly arrogant. After all, who are they to change the will of God?

If they honestly believe the Bible is true and accurate AND Obama becoming the President is that prophecy fulfilled, then Obama MUST become President or their God and Bible are wrong. It is that simple.

Christians please think twice before forwarding that email–not only will you avoid offending someone (like God for your blasphemy), you will avoid showing people that you do not think critically. If you did, you would have picked up on the catch 22 yourself.

For what it is worth, I am not a Muslim. What I am is tired of hatred, especially religious hatred that is disguised and twisted to instill fear and mistrust.
