On the eve of the Derby all everyone can talk about is the odds on whether Big Brown will make history as a Triple Crown winner or whether his name will be added to the list of horses that have gotten close but no cigar. Losing will do nothing but make Big Brown the 11th horse since 1979 to fail at grabbing Triple Crown glory.

Have you placed your bet? Big Brown is causing oddsmakers to go nuts. How much will his cracked hoof come into play? What about challenger Casino Drive? Casino Drive is also suffering from a bruised hoof. As of now both horses are scheduled to take a shot at gloy.

Big Brown has become a horse racing sensation. People who normally don’t follow horse racings are rooting for him to win. Perhaps it is due to the high profile injuries and death in the horse racing sport lately. Maybe we need a Triple Crown winner to make us feel better.

So what are the Belmont odds? I don’t know. The 2008 Belmont Stakes horse race will be exciting enough without worrying if the odds on Casino Drive to win are worth betting against Big Brown. Or will some dark horse appear out of nowhere and make some person who bet the long shot a very rich person tomorrow?

All eyes will be watching to see if Big Brown can pull off a Triple Crown win at the Belmont park race track. People will also be watching Rick Dutrow very closely.
