Tiger Woods has done it again! A clutch birdie putt on the 18th pulled Tiger even with underdog Rocco Mediate in the U.S. Open playoff, and the tournament went into “sudden death”. It took 91 holes but Tiger Woods beat Rocco Mediate on the first hole of sudden death with a par while Rocco Mediate was unable to get his par putt into the cup.

I’m not sure why this is such a hot topic any more, but since California is about to begin marrying same sex couples today at 5:01 PM some people are in a tizzy. Gay marriage is a right and it is going to happen, so the objectors should really just get over it already.

The fact is that people go to the STATE for their marriage license, not the church. Church policy, doctrine, and/or dogma should have no bearing on the marriage issue. Marriage is a legal contract. As far as I am concerned that contract can be written any way the parties agree to - and that includes plural marriage as well.

Friday the 13th and I am still alive. And apparently so are you. One week ago I wrote about The House Of Yahweh And Nuclear War, which was basically my rant about how the media hypes these idiots who predict the end of the world or some other great disaster.

How did Tiger Woods do at the U.S. Open today? Everyone wants to know if the knee surgery Tiger Woods had would hinder his golf performance. The answer is some. Though he is Tiger Woods, nothing seems to bother him too much when it comes to playing golf.

Two double bogeys but overall a solid day. Tiger finished 1 over par in the first round of the U.S. Open. His words after the round “It is what it is.”

Another crane collapse has made the news, this time at the new Dallas Cowboys football stadium. The crane is believed to have broken loose from its base and toppled over.

So far there are only reports of construction workers being injured and taken to the hospital. No deaths have been reported at this time. However this incident comes a day after a crane accident near downtown Dallas left one worker dead.

A railroad bridge has collapsed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The cause of the Cedar Rapids railroad bridge collapse isn’t known yet.

The number of dead or injured has not been released, though it will probably be awhile before that is even known. Rail cars tumbled into the flooded river. I am hoping the real damage will be limited to loss of cargo and not of human life.

Since I originally posted when E.D. Hill made the “terrorist fist jab” I guess it is only fair to mention that she apologized for it. Or did she? How do you make up for turning a loving fist bump into a terrorist fist jab?

Salvia seeds are all the rage. There is a certain type of salvia (salvia divinorum) that is basically Mother Nature’s little herbal high. However the college kid and teen crowd needs to understand that just because Salvia is legal most places it can be harmful. Be warned that some states are moving to make the sale of salvia divinorum seeds and plants illegal.

If you are looking for a few herb growing tips this is not the blog for you.
